Great gym day today!!
After work I went to the gym at my job.
For the first time ever I tried out the treadmill. Initially as a warm up.
15 minutes passed and I wasn't the least tired or sweaty or short of breath or anything.
I felt extremely motivated and my mind focused on two things:
1 - I found myself visualizing how all the excess fat simply ran off me while I was running (that's a new one!).
2 - I had the image of petitefi and kmaecags in my head, and imagined becoming as fit as they are (like.. no chance in freckin hell, but still... ;P ).
Since I wasn't exhausted I decided to run for an hour.
I ran at 7 km/h and it occurred to me that "
7 km/h for 70 minutes" had a nicer ring to it. ;P
So I ran for 70 minutes.
I ran for 70 minutes non stop!
I could've continued if my left knee hadn't started aching. Stupid knee.
According to the treadmill screen I burned 716 calories.
7 is the magic number. ;P
I'm very pleased.
Pleased for the fact that I could run non stop for so long.
And pleased about my pulse. I checked it three times during my run. The first two times it was 80. The third time - when I was the most exhausted (even if not very exhausted at all...) - it was 74(!)
Earlier, my pulse was around 80 when I was relaxed!
Major improvement, yaay! :)
After my "warm up" I spent about half an hour lifting weights, doing variations of the plank, exercises with a medicine ball and more...
I'm going to ache so much the entire weekend... hehe. Lovely! ;)
I found this picture... and it reminds me of LG Skoog, and how he tells people not to "dry shower/shower dry" (torrduscha), which means not to shower unless sweaty.
He tells his daughters that if they want to shower without having done some kind of exercise first, they need to do at least 25 push ups and 25 sit ups. Then they can shower. ;P
So... earn your showers! Do 25 of each, or more!
